Frinsa was first founded on September 27, 1961 by Ramiro Carregal Rey, the current Chairman, and CEO Jorge Carregal Varela as a family business. They are pioneers in many sectors of their operations including industrial refrigeration, deep freezing and storage of coastal fish, marketing of deep-frozen tuna, preparation of cephalopods, and the manufacture of deep-frozen and refrigerated tuna steaks.
